I may have something to do with that episode. I called Adams manager and scolded him for Adam saying that the "curry episode" was the hottest peppers out there, and informed him about the ghost pepper (buht/nana jolaka) and he seemingly took me up on my challenge to actually eat one. (you can actually buy these from a florida importer who has the sole license to bring these into the US)
You can imagine my surprise when he actually ate 3 of the darned things! You can see his face change color and the sweat start to pour off him. I mean my God, I ate one and darn near died...lol. My teeth melted, my tongue was broiled and the nerves of my mouth and lips were dissolved. My Throat thought Iwas drinking burning gas and my stomach tried as hard as it could to touch as little as possible. It was clearly a "pucker" moment.
Be warned...these peppers WILL AND CAN HURT YOU if toyed with. If you dont think you can eat one, then DONT! DO NOT get talked into it by fools and friends as you could do yourself a MAJOR injury if playing with these as the juice alone is strong enough to cause a 3rd degree burn if it gets into a scratch or cut and could scar your eyes if it gets into them. These peppers are NOT toys and should not be treated as such.
Since I live close to San Antonio and am there often I thought this was a great show. While I like peppers on my burgers I would never try this challenge but I sure would like to see someone try it. The look on Adam's face after the first bite was classic

How did you do that? How did you know who Adam's manager was?
I've rarely eatne any spicy foods. The most I've eaten was a hot sauce called 'Possible Side-Effects'. I then proceded to count the side-effects during my 1-hour visit to Lucifer.
IT WAS A VERY GOOD SHOW. VERY EXCITING. ADAM HAS A LOT OF GUTS to eat the ghost chili. I wonder if they will be sold in the Los Angeles area. They are too hot for me to try.
Come on... I know it is a 30 minute show, and Adam is all into 'eating huge' amounts of food.. but why did it take him the full 25 minutes to consume the Four Horseman... on the 2nd of Sept I know of 3 people who attempted this, 2 finished, one (a woman) finished in 4 minutes and the other, a family member finished in 5... I guess the audience has to be entertained so Adam can earn his pay... I'll keep watching, but after this I'll always enjoy it with that little grain of salt that most over done stuff is taken with...
I live in New Mexico. How would I go about getting those ghost chilis here? The hottest ones they have around here are habaneros. Or how could I get some of the ghost chili extract?
