Hi everyone! First let me start out by saying I love your show. It comes on at 11:00 pm here in the states. If I am unable to watch the show I always tape it then watch it the next day. I do have a question though? What happened to Derick? I really liked him. Is he off the show? I did notice he has a new show, which is nice, but I would really love to see him return to the show. Was there some sort of falling out? With that being said, I still love the show and will remain a loyal viewer. Good luck and stay safe!

Derek was removed from the show after it was proven that he was a fake. Though I don't think he was totally fake, but it was proven that he faked a posession and he was subsequently removed from the show.

How was he found out that he faked it? Some things he said were so true and knowledgeable. I am so suprised. Thanks for a response.

Thanks clr. He may be a fraud, but is the entire show? None of the videos on you tube show that ALL of MH is fake. Anyone have more info to show this? Thanks

I'm not 100% sure he is a fraud. I believe he has some ability, but probably felt he needed to produce something every time he was on camera for that show. In other words, rather than say something like "I'm sorry, I'm not picking anything up" he'd just go ahead and make something up instead. He basically shot himself in the foot by doing that. I stopped watching the show when he was on because I felt it was starting to take on the makings of a freak show.

From what I've seen. folks on that show have been obliged with things for whisch there are no logical explanations. The last "live" episode they did in the U.S. was at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia and it was pretty impressive. What I don't particularly like are the table tilting and ouija board sessions they hold. It's too easy in the dark for some living person to mislead others with those things.

Derik is NOT a fake, he has been a medium long before Most Haunted ever exsisted. It was a scam that Yavett & Cirin came up with to mess up Derik's caree. Derik was getting more attention than Yavett, so she didn't like that & they wanted to fire him...so they came up with the whole act to so call "prove he's fake". Which is nothing more than yet another lie Most Haunted threw together, poor Derik.

It's unfortunate that Most Haunted still wants everyone to think the Derik Acorah is a fake, when in fact Yavett is more of a fake than anyone else- she is way to gullible & subjective to ever be a good ghost hunter. She is far too quick jumping to conclusions.

If Most Haunted used MORE scientific equiptiment & became more objective in their investigations, then the show could be taken more seriously. Tablt tiping, Oiji boards & saoances are something of the 15th century. They need to get real gear like Ghost Hunters TV series.

I must say, after watching over 1 dozen ghost hunting shows, Most Haunted is the absolute worst. It's full of noisy, unprofessional people who just run around screaming like idiots making false claims. They use antiquated methods of ghost hunting & close to no scientific equiptment. Yavett & her silly little noises she keeps hearing in head but nothing ever gets recorded on EVP, clearly shows that Yavett is overacting. This show deseratetly needs Ghost Hunters to show them HOW to ghost hunt, because Most Haunted is very unprofesional & lame.

I believe Derik is no fake, However even though i hate to say it I think he became cought up in fame and started getting carried away. What his mediumship could not daliver he put on. I realy do like Derik, but he changed you can see it as the show grew so did his ego.

to Most haunted they do their investcation how they see fit there is nothing wron with this i happen to love this team.

He was proven to be a fake when Ciaran told someone on the crew about someone who once lived in the house they were investigating. A man named Kreed Kafer. Derek overheard it and suddenly he was in contact with this spirit.
Funny thing is is that Ciaran made up the name and the character is completely fictional. Another funny thing is is that the name Kreed Kafer is an anagram for Derek faker.
