Tony should totally come to Taiwan wherein endless discoveries to be made. Taiwan rules of course it is my non-biased opinion as a Taiwan-born native Wink .

I am a big fan of Tony Bourdain's No Reservation and greatly appreciate the idea/notion of the show. Tony transcend the experience of local food to explore the people and culture.

As a Taiwan native and US educated person, I can't find any other place that is more friendly , modern and resourceful as Taiwan. Taiwan resides in a unique geographical region and is a historically important place. Taiwan has been
ruled by the Dutches, Japanese and Chinese thus it has a unique blend of these cultures. This unique trait reflects on its language (Taiwanese), architecture and food. In addition, after Nationalist party retreated to Taiwan where becomes a melting pot of all styles of mainland Chinese cooking. The unique blend of Chinese, Japanese and Dutch cooking, free trade police and creativity of Taiwanese people have made it the epicenter of all cousines around the world. Not only that, whatever you have tried in other countries you will find it tastes better in Taiwan, absolutely not joking.

Tony, I think you will find Taiwan a beautiful, tastey and friendly place when you come visit. I volunteer to be your guide at no charge and sincerely inviting you to come to my beautiful and wonderful motherland.

I mentioned Taiwan before. What I didn't know until I watched "5 Takes" last night when the travellers were in Taiwan was that Tony has been to Taiwan. Did anyone watch? Tony actually posted on their message board a suggestion of a place to visit.

So why hasn't he officially done an episode on "No Reservations?" Having already been there, he KNOWS how good the food is. And I'd like him to go to a Buddhist Monastery retreat and try the vegetarian food. I know he's generally anti-vegetarian, but he did try the vegetarian food in India & liked it. I know he'll like the vegetarian fare in Taiwan.

*Sigh* So enamored of him
