Macau is the place you should visit. It is about an hour ferry ride South of Hong Kong. It is an SAR just like Hong Kong, and is the only place in China where gambling is legal. I would call it Asia's Las Vegas. Up until about a decade ago, Macau was a Portuguese colony, and the influence is very obvious.

The cuisine in Macau is delicious and varied. Due to its Portuguese history, Macau has some of the best Portuguese food I have ever eaten. There is also the obvious Chinese cuisine, which is of course delicious. Macau even has its own cuisine known as "Macanese" which is a combination of Portuguese, Chinese, Indian and Malay cooking. Also, and I know this is your favorite stuff, street food in Macau is amazing. Around every corner there are delicious snacks and there are several markets to explore.

There are also many things to do and see in Macau. There is a racetrack which is famous in Macau, as well as bungee jumping off of the Macau Tower. Of course, there are many casinos as well. As a matter of fact, The Venetian in Macau is the biggest casino in the world. It is absolutely unreal. It literally has its own shopping mall.
