G'day

i'm an Australian-born Lebanese person, i see the way your soul and taste buds not only swarm to good food (i'll save the simile), but were made for it, and seriously feel they are inherently bleeding to be acquainted with the vast array of Lebanese dishes - albeit subconsciously.

dude, seriously, stop the extreme suffering and torture, get some proper Lebanese food into you - bone marrow and all - and feel truly alive and aware of the purpose of your existence, once and for all.

i seriously doubt there exists one human being on the face of this planet who would not find at least one Lebanese dish they could not only eat, but absolutely love deeply.

----

Other than that, Iranians make some seriously good food. Even if you don't visit the country, at least dedicate a segment to a wide array of Iranian dishes from many Iranian restaurants in the West or otherwise.

----

Afghan food has a lot of Iranian influence, but would be a great country for you to visit.

----

Syrian food has a lot of Lebanese influence, but would definitely be a great country for you to visit.

----

Yes, there may be critics out there who will ardently try to prove that a tiny component of Lebanese cuisine was influenced by Syrian (and Ottoman) "cuisine". My only response to that is, for every 6,000 quality Lebanese cooks (chefs and laymen), you have 1 quality Syrian cook Smile

And that's saying a lot for a Lebanese to Syrian population ratio of approximately 4 million:20 million.

----

May wana check out Sydney, Australia too!!

I visited Afghanistan last year, and it's still quite dangerous for non-Afghanis. Truth be told, it's a war zone still and without a lot of security, Tony could get in trouble quick.

Maybe when the region settles in 5-10 years, Tony can consider Afghanistan.

you are right and i hate to admit it the war is just a stupid thing to do ....we foodies want to know the culture and food that this great countries has to offer but because of selfishness of those towelheads that uses mighty allah's words for their own purpose and those westerner that we really dont know what they really want from this country....maybe food is the answer to all this misunderstanding maybe learning to understand one another is when we all sit togethershare the good food that one has to offer..maybe food is the asnwer to war ^^

^^ deejus, yes you're right although i've seen a number of journalists tour around generally with "US soldier protection". getting a good taste of authentic Afghan food even from Afghan families living abroad and Afghan restaurants abroad would be a good experience.

^ jhoki, if only life and the world and the way everything worked was that simple. as for "the answer to 'war' " - the imposed one in Afghanistan specifically - the answer is in fact that the egg-faced US "mother-in-law" soldiers need to get the hell out of territory they have no business being in and stay the hell out.

the so-called "taliban" need to all be wiped out too. stupid wahhabis claiming to be Muslims. people like them have been wreaking havoc for the rest of us Muslims since the time of Prophet Muhammad who they claim to love and support but organise to kill him and his family.

The day all Muslims and non Muslims alike realise this reality, and the true peaceful sublime nature of Islam, will be a most beautiful day indeed.

why don't the "US soldiers" 'feed those poor people (instead of buying guns and ammo)'? or the "taliban"??

honestly mate, i'm a Muslim (shia) and I'll tell you, as much chaos, oppression and destruction the US military has caused throughout the world especially to Muslims, compared to the Taliban and their Wahhabi likes around the world (in iraq, pakistan, palestine, saudi arabia, yemen, indonesia, and many western countries), as non-Muslims many "US soldiers" at least have an atom of compassion towards Muslims, so much so that they may kill an entire Muslim family bar one child who happened to miss the shots/missile, and feel sorry for the child and offer him a twinkie or something.

The Wahhabi (Taliban group and all those other vile and absolutely wicked - to say the very least - groups around the world who think its ok/God wanted them to behead innocent human beings, or orchestrate abhorant and inconceivably evil train bomb attacks, bus bomb attacks, hotel bomb attacks, bomb this, bomb that against anybody and everybody) will see this child they happened to miss, and "finish the job".

These so-called "Muslims" (even typing that out made my stomach churn) were exactly the same vile people from the time Islam was preached to people by the Prophet Muhammad. They claimed back then they were Muslims too, they were the loudest in chanting and boasting about their so-called "faith", making sure people knew of the so-called "good acts" they were doing - to them their so-caled "faith" was a show to other feeble-minded people as themselves. They were after praise from human beings, there was no sincerity in their acts. They were after political positions, power, money, they were riddled with insincere and corrupt souls, thoughts and hearts, and even dirtier blood.

To be a Muslim is to first bear witness that there is only One God ("Allaah" is Arabic for God) and that Muhammed is God's final Messenger on this earth.

The rest of it is a little complex for this forum, but taking the above as a mere notion for example, consider why so-called "Muslims" would (insincerely) make such a testimony LOUD AND CLEAR IN HOPE OF HUMAN PRAISE, and behind the scenes plot and arrange with their cronies to KILL the Prophet Muhammad and his family - more importantly the Prophet's descendants who were in fact his successors on this earth, and the last of them is alive and with us today in occultation and will reappear on this earth before the Day of Judgement alongside Prophet Jesus..

is it any wonder these devils have no shame in beheading and cutting up Muslims???

so next time people want to consider ALL Muslims as one and the same with these Wahhabis, please think twice before you pass judgement or defame the rest of us Muslims who are completely innocent and detached from these evil people, from the beginning and for eternity.
