Please visit San Antonio. Shed some light on the food from here. Make it clear to the visitors that even though the sign outside the restaurant says "mexican food", it truly is not mexican food. It's tex-mex and there is a difference!

There is real chinese food there now but in my youth all the chinese places said "Chinese, Mexican and American Food" and the joke was they were all cooked in the same wok. The owners spoke more spanish than english because they had immigrated from Mexico, following Persing's army back. Pershing rewarded them with post concessions for their service to him when he was chasing Villa. There may still be some chinese places around the South Gate at Ft. Sam Houston.
