I am a Polish descendant but even my grandparents don't know the language or food anymore and I'd love to see what my ancestors are all about, since I can't afford to go there and find out for myself. I'm sure you wouldn't probably find some of my family members too. They would be the Mleczko folks (which actually means "milkman"). No wonder I like dairy products! It would suck if I was lactose intolerant, huh?

My son lives in Krakow, Poland, teaches English. I have been there three times and intend to go back as often as I can. It is a lovely, quaint, gem of a city. A lot of history, friendly people, interesting museums, etc. But the food is the one thing you will never forget. Such a variety, flavors, everything is very fresh and prepared well. There are many restaurants to choose from and cafes all over the city. You won't be sorry if you visit Krakow.

Poland would be fascinating. Incredible history that the rest of the world takes for granted. Beautiful cities and great food.

I agree that Anthony should visit Poland. I think that he would be able to see in the smaller towns and country side a far different side of the culture and foods. I grew up in a Polish family and know that there are different tastes that aren't really seen.
