The north shore of Lake Superior is quite unique. It is like New England, Scandinavia and the north woods all rolled into one. A lot of interesting cuisine and culture there, not to mention the scenery.

Look at Duluth, Minnesota
Fitgers Brewery complex
Betty's Pies
Split Rock Lighthouse
Gooseberry Falls
various smoked fish shops
Naniboujou Lodge
Grand Marais, Minnesota
Lutsen Resort
Thunder Bay, Ontario
Ely, Minnesota (up highway 1)
(Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness)

Cool a fellow Minnesotan. All those places are great places to go visit in Minnesota. I love Duluth I like to go by the Harbor when I go up to Duluth, where the Lift Bridge is and watch the iron ore ships come in. I live in the Twin Cities so I do not get up to Duluth that often.
Hey Tony could watch Grandma's Marathon.
Don't forget the head waters of the Mississippi River up in Lake Itasca.
Tony can break out the camping gear in the BWCA like he did in the Pacific NW episode. He would have a ball up in the BWCA.
