now, if there's something the filipinos make such a deal of--it's Chinese ham during the Phil hoidays-- it's a tradition during 'noche buena' a christmas eve meal after mid-night mass.

NOW, WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO FIND HERE IN THE WEST?! IS THIS EVEN BEING DONE IN hK OR CHINA or is this only being done by the Chinese who settled in Manila?

gosh! i love this ham-- it's scented with star anise.. the fat is just wonderful.. the only time i had this here in US is on a film set --this craft service had it on order only bec Whoopee just loves her pork. I couldn't stop eating it-- reminders of childhood!

so, does anyone know where to find it here in LA or anywhere?! I certainly don't see it in our chinatown neither in Vancouver.
