I know it has been suggested before, but go to Taiwan. But go to the rest of Taiwan, the chubby guy barely made it out of Taipei.

There is more to Taiwan than street food. There is a lot of aboriginal food. Especially some good Paiwan and Rukai food to be had around Santimen and Taitung. There is also a food show on the Indigenous TV channel that is a good indicator of the variety. Next is the Hakka food and the Taiwanese (Fujian style). So much more than street food and the college kid hangouts known as night markets.

So please come visit the aboriginal villages (not the tourist destinations like what's his name in Wulai) the surfer hangouts in Donghe and Kenting, the fish markets on the Eastern coast. The Hakka in Miaoli.

Please show the world the Austronesian, Japanese, Hakka, Fujian, and Northern Chinese that make up Taiwan and give it a wonderful array of food.
