And Anthony Bourdain should too.

I pride myself as somewhat of a Foodie. I began watching PBS cooking shows as a child and was in my kitchen cooking at the age of 10. I don't cook for a living, but if I couldn't make movies that's what I'd be doing.

I've been in Vancouver working for a month now and I have yet to have a bad meal. The influx of Chinese that blend with the French culture is an amazing blend. A city of smiling people.

At the lower end of Lonsdale near the Lonsdale Quey is a restaurant called Gusto di Quattro. This small, intimate restaurant pours a wealth of wine while Executive Chef Nicholas Lim serves up the finest Rustic Italian Fusion cooking I have ever had the opportunity to taste.

I have dined at some of the finest Chef's tables in America and I can safely say that Nicholas Lim is special indeed.

His menu is seasonal, and I was fortunate to get a taste of his upcoming menu. Fresh, local ingredients cooked to perfection. Whether you are blessed enough to try his grilled sirloin topped with black truffle oil served with a gorganzola potato croquet and a crispy pear and arugula salad, or the seared duck breast over bitter greens and maple roasted winter squash with a British Columbia blueberry reduction. You could try the most flavorful salad I have ever tasted. A baby spinach salad with a warm panchetta dressing topped with goat cheese, crispy shallots, and their 14 hour oven roasted tomatoes. I've had the calamari steak that is sliced off of a 25 pound squid and served over smoked tomato sauce that melts in your mouth. The Tuscan blackened shrimp over sweet corn and onion relish.

I could go on. I've eaten there 3 times this week and 12 times since I've been here.

The Chef treats every customer as if they are family. If there is a wait of any kind he will personally prepare you a small appetizer to keep you satisfied. A piece of seared Ahi over greek olives and lemon, basil oil. A fried rissoto ball over smoked tomato sauce. Or an aged salami wrapped around buffalo mozz. and sweet nectarines.

This place is a must.

I've read about his restaurant in Van's Restaurant guide.. as one of the finest.. so can't wait to try.

I am seriously thinking of moving in Vancouver-- Yaletown to be exact-- & I am already eyeing the Flat I want to get.. hmm.. fingers cross. after this major lawsuit ?? I can afford it. OR the very least have a real sec home there.. YUMMY!

Tony introduced that lovely VJ'S & it is fantastic.. am craving for some of that Indian.

so many places to explore-- amazing, as Van used to be like a sleepy city when I first visited yrs ago.. having family there.
