Slovenia is Europe's little secret, and offers not only spectacular views but amazing food and even better wine. cramned between Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia, this former Yugoslavian nation has been thriving since its independence as a country, and more so since its inclusion to the UN. As small of a country as it is, with a population of only 2 million, one can visit the Alps and taste the fatty, original, old school meals, travel to the capital city thriving with great eats and baked goods, and go swim in the Meditteranean all within a couple of days. The northeast part of the country provides some of the best wines of Europe, and here, cheap wine doesn't mean bad wine at all. Please, give this trip a real thought, this country cannot dissapoint anyone.
