No travel show ever goes to the Azores, and very few go to the Madeira islands. The food is great (and varied), the wine is great too, the people are friendly, the customs are interesting, and the scenery is beautiful. As for the food, because the Azores, especially, were so poor for so long, the Azoreans got creative with what they ate and how they prepared it.
