I think Tony should come see how the Old Order Amish do it up right! They have simple yet super tasty food, all comfort food I might add. Most people tend to lean toward Lancaster County for Amish, but they are "modern" Amish, and have dropped some of their roots. Mifflin County PA is the place to go to experience Amish like nowhere else. My Grandmother was a Zook, married a Yoder. Her mother (Mom-Mom) was a Bauble, and I have Kaufmans in the family too. Between Pieghts Store, Peacheys market, and the Belleville sale every Wednesday over the summer, you could EASILY do a whole show! Between salsify, sweet bread, moon pies, ponhause, sweet potato cakes, rhubarb pie, apple butter, baked oatmeal, fried mush, etc., you could eat for hours and hours and still not try it all! Amish cooking is where it's at!!!

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with Mifflin County, but I'm from Lancaster. Anthony could have a ball in the markets and the roadside stands in Lancaster. Maybe he could do a show of all the Amish communities, and throw in the Mennonites as well. Good eats!
