Tony, this country could have invented you: Hungarians are witty, skeptical (but not too much so), genuinely appreciative when things go well, and stoically blasé when they don’t…. Plus, you’ve got 10 ½ million people who love pork—and all its constituent parts—as much as you do. (Where else do suitors woo potential mates while holding slabs of pork fat over a blazing campfire, all the while singing songs and polishing off additional bottles of fruit brandy and wine?) Relaxing thermal spas, good food and drink, and the population’s ‘what the %^&*’ attitude about everything makes Hungary one of the world’s best countries.
