Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachussetts

Sure, it's changed a lot, but it still has great Portuguese infused seafood, and is an eccentric town. I know it's really small, but i saw his episode to Key West and p-town is more interesting than KW.

My father was Howard Mitchem's (mentioned in Kitchen Confidential) sous chef at Peppy's for about 4 years, and still talks about p-town in the mid-late seventies as the best time of his life. We go up every summer for a month to get cook at a few old friends' joints to get away from the fast-paced Miami restaurant scene.

P-town is a great destination.

I grew up on the Cape, and tony should go back to his roots, but don't miss some of the great food further down the Cape too, particularly in Wellfleet. There's also some great fish tacos at Ay! Carumba in Harwich Center (my hometown). The tacos there rival any I've had in Texas these last three years. Good margaritas, too.
