Lots to see and eat:

The Jesus Malverde shrine, the supposed narcotrafficer saint, plus other drug and death-related cultural attractions.

A great restaurant, La Chuparrosa Enamorada ('The Hummingbird In Love') in the Bacurimi neighborhood just north of downtown. Jorge Peraza does a great job with local Sinaloa cuisine (www.lachuparrosa.com/entrada.html).

Copala, a beautiful little colonial pueblo (one of the nicest in Mexico) in the sierra foothills outside town.
