I believe a lady named Becky made the trip. My wife and I would like more information to possibly go there for a vacation. Can you help with this information. Thanks.

cbsober,
When going through Plush stop in at the Chamber of Commerce. They usually can steer you to areas open to rockhounding, whether fee or free.
There is some BLM land on Hart Mtn. where you can hound sunstone for free.
GPS coordinates are lat=42.46, lon=-119.796333333
Watch out. There are some claims here.
It's not all sunstone. Nearby you can find Jasper, Chalcedony, & Petrified Wood at lat=42.57462041, lon=-119.709197993
If you don't have GPS, just download Google Earth and map it there.
Have fun,
-Rocky.

cbsober, there is also a lot of information that can be found ont eh cash and treasures/treasure hunter kristen gum wiki. As a matter of fact there is a thread on going about that very subject. Here is the link. check it out if you like. Be sure to join the wiki and join in on the discussions as well. http://cash-and-treasures-wiki.travelchannel.com/thread...first+trip+to+Oregon

I don't know if Plush as a chamber of commerce. I know there is a little store there and a couple of houses, but it is a very small place. But the people in the store are very helpful. I have only been there once and would be happy to help if I can. Be sure to check out the wiki. There is tons of info there.

pv,
Ooooops. I meant the county CofC in Lakeview. Thanks for catching that. I stopped in there on my first trip to Plush and they had brochures & info on sunstones, thundereggs (my favorite) and more. Hopefully, they have kept informed.
Here's their link:

Hi Rocky, I thought well maybe the general store at Plush was all inclusive and possibly had the CofC there as well. lol It is a neat little place. Lakeview is a nice sized town and next time I head that away I will probably stay there, it much closer than Klamath falls. lol It is a blast down there. Just wish I were closer.

Hey luvmygrnkidz, (great name) Let us know how you do in AR. It is a great show and it sure has been instrumental in me getting back into rock hounding and lapidary. It has been expensive I must admit. lol Have a great trip.

Hi RoZ, I really can't help much for exact times the show may air in your area and provider. I live on the west coast and have Charter as the provider. lol Anyway, the Travel Channel has been running re-runs on Wednesday afternoon, for 3 hours. Concast may have search options or maybe go to the Travel Channel and search the show and air times.

Sure wish I could help more. Happy treasure hunting! :-)
