Most people are in Fort Myers vacationing and have one thing on their mind, Sun! You won't be disappointed. The beaches are some of the best, and there are even places where you will see very few people during some of the busy times of the year. Golf is tops IMO. There are so many places to play, and if you have friends or family in the area, they may be able to quickly key you in on some of the best places to play. A lot of the clubs are private, but there are many that semi-private and allow people like you and me. I'm fortunate to have family in the Fort Myers area, they live in a semi-private community, plus, they play golf! What more could you ask for. The cheapest and easiest time to get into some of these clubs is obviously when know ones around, The summer is one of those times. Feel free to golf whenever you want. Winter can be much more challenging and expensive! Never-the-less, the Fort Myers area is tops. If you don't like golf, try walking on the beaches at the crack of dawn, you'll be treated to Dolphins and more walkers you can shake a stick at! Boating? Yep, plenty of rentals available here. Again, book in the off peak times and you'll be rewarded. Good luck!
