I am wondering if any of you have experiences as a handicapped person getting around Disney World. I know how to get around Disneyland, but have never had to do it while at Disney World.

In reply to getting around Disneyworld, if you`re handicapped: It`s really quite easy, esp. if you fly into the Orlando Airport. They have a free shuttle service that will take you right to your hotel on Disney property. They have shuttle buses that go back & forth all day between the hotels & the parks, & all for free. If you`re in a wheelchair or walker, you will get right in the rides or attractions,& avoid the long wait in line. The shuttle buses have soecial wheel chair slots, & the drivers help you board, etc.

I know that you will find it extremely easy to get around. The cast mambers are always ready to offer assistance and tips for everybody, handicapped or not. Even the guests all around you are willing to help[. This place opens the hearts of all. Have a wonderful trip, and write about your ecperiences. Ralph

getting around disney world in a wheelchair is easy. The staff is great. My daughter hurt herself in disney and required a wheelchair, we got on the buses first to take us back and forth from the hotel to the parks, which is really great at nite when there are a bunch of people in line. As for the rides, some rides like space mountain and splah mountain they make you get a fast pass, then you go in. The haunted house and the dumbo rides they have entrances you can go into any questions just ask the staff and they will help you. Enjoy your trip.
