Be safe in the water. I was in calf deep water and a wave broke taking out my knee (kanaapali beach). The signs are not very visible to the visitors about the dangers. Also, swim were there is lifeguards.

Calmest Maui Beaches in Summer

I swam at Baby Beach in Lahaina today. I had heard of it before, but never knew exactly where it was. Larger than I thought, and certainly very calm. Not the most scenic beach, **************** that need to dip in **********. The beaches in So. Kihei have been a bit rough so far for me to venture in the water. Pleasant pool and oceanfront lawn area at my little $85 per night condo, so "making do" with great satisfaction.
