I recently watched Florida's Best Beaches, and while I was quite proud to see Siesta Beach (or Crescent Beach) listed as number two....I did find a pretty big mistake. It was reported that the beach stretched over 6 miles....not so at all. Siesta Beach is 2.5 miles long.... I run it all the time, and my garmin watch uses GPS. The travel channel might be confused in that the Islad stretches for six miles....but there is more than one beach on siesta key....and trust me, turtle beach would not ever top a list!

Where is a nice/clean place to stay on the beach in Siesta Key? I have searched and all look unkept and old.
