Dear Tony:
As a Culinary School alumni, cook, and general culinary menace I greatly enjoy your show No Reservations. Kitchen Confidential was our bible in school. (I applied as an intern at Les Halles, but nothing ever came of it, sadly.) Your general attitude and sense of humor are a great credit to (and a genuine representation of) people in our industry. I noticed, however, that the males on your channel are generally the more "off-color" characters while the women are always peppy, cheery, hair in order, wardrobe consious, and camera ready and honestly, it sickens me. Where are the tattooed, cursing, smoking, drinking, food/adventure loving women? I want to get tattooed in Borneo, I want to eat cobra heart to the disgust and fear of everyone around me, I want pancakes delivered to my hut in a boat... Please Tony, let your Overloads marinate their brains with this idea. It's sexist and digusting how all the females on this channel are too constipated (could that be the cause of the tight, forced smiles everyone is gallavanting around with?) to do what you do. I think it might be, however, that no one has ever stepped up and volunteered their rather dubious talents to such a venture. I'd be right there with you Tony, betting on horses in China or drinking Vodka in Russia. Most respect, much love Melody from Texas This message has been edited. Last edited by: chefmel, |
