I would LOVE to see Tony do a show with Samantha sometime. They are soooooooooo different. It would be interesting to see them together.
Hope someone is really reading this and considers it, PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!
Samantha has already said she liked Tony's style. Put'em together for a special.

You cannot be serious!!!!!!!Hope it never happens. Samantha and her show have nothing to offer Tony. She would be reduced to further inane blabbering.

I think it is a bad idea too! Don't do it. Now Tony and Andrew really had something going on their joint appearance recently. I think the format was very good. I enjoyed it a lot.

Actually, I think it would be hilarious to see Tony and Samantha together. They have such conflicting styles that it would have to be hilarious.

Stop dissing Samantha! She's got a good show and I'm sure if her and Tony met up in TV land it would be entertaining.

Velvet Underground meets Debbi Gibson. Hummmm. Heres the deal, before people like Emril, Flay and Sam Brown there was PBS and Julia (no disrespect, but thats all there was). If these people spark the intrest for those who like mint jelly with well done Lamb Chops then great, because maybe they will be daring enough to order Osso Bucco or Salmon cooked medium. Tony is for those who love food and came up through the trenches.

However Giada Delaurentes and Tony in Tuscany would be much more entertainig than anything. Sexy food, sexy country, sexy co-host and Tony cutting throught he B.S. Hey it worked for Regis. Imagine that conversation after a day of shoe shopping, several Super Tuscans and Grappa's

Well for my 100th post I will definately get behind this Idea. I know in Sames FAQ someone asked her what boiok she's currently ready and it was one of Tony's books. So I for one am all for this idea!!!!

They might as well do a show together as both of them have recently been to Argentina, Sao Paulo, Patagonia and Buenos Aires. Are they sharing the Travel Channel plane?
Kind of a lot of duplication.Plus since reading Tony's book Sam seems to be getting edgier. Like race car driving, wearing leather and flyfishing.
Now to come up with a cool name for the twosome Maybe Ansam or Samthony? LOL Like Brangelina or Bennifer.

I can't even make it through her commercials without running out of the room.
A show with Samantha and Tony would need to be of the adult genre. May I suggest a location of Pole Land.

might be repeatative but I personally like seeing the same locations from different view points plus each show shows different areas of the cities so it's like a big tour of the cities from different angles which is nice. Gives a broader picture then just one person can give in short shows. At least with Sams as hers are 30 minute shows though us brown heads are pushing for 60 minutes! ;o)

I agree that Sam and Tony each have their own take on the same place but would have preferred not having shows air during same time period where both are in same destinations.

yeah but having them so close together can be good for getting the whole picture pr at least a wider picture of a location without forgetting what happened 6 months ago on another show. Like Tony was in Argentina this past Monday and Sam was in Punta Arenas and the southern regions of S.A. so gave a nice broad view of the southern end of the continent.

The only reason I watch Samantha Brown is that she goes to soooo many places, and me being the travel buff that I am can't help but watch shows about countries I want to go to. Plus she's been to Honduras and Peru, two places that changed my life, so it was interesting to watch her there. But God, Anthony would reduce her to tears, I hope. The second she throws out some needless comment about the velvet curtains or the elegantly upholstered bed Tony would be outta there.

team travel can work. Tony and Andrew did the NYC shows together and turned out just fine. 2 of my favorite episodes but then biased being I am moving to the city.

I'd rather see Tony on an episode of Rachel Ray and all the blood and bashing, than with Samantha Brown. No offense to her, but she BORES ME! Tony's much more interesting!

This topic is still up and running? In all honesty, after watching this last episode of NR (Vancouver), I'd rather see Tony B. with Samantha Brown.

Old thread so no one will probably read this, but a cross-over with Discovery (same owners) with Tony Bourdain and Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. Tony eats in whatever restaurant and Mike cleans it up.

I think Tony would much rather do a show with Rachael Ray, rather than Brown.
Brown likes to show all the touristy and resort type areas that people feel safe and comfortable visiting, and Tony likes to show the real authentic livelihood of natives, where they eat, how they live, their struggles, history, culture, and food.
There's no way Brown would even stay at Tony's side for more than 30 min before hoping back on the plane to Haweii for some pina coladas.

Samantha Brown is to Vanilla for me she makes me want to keep away from the resorts..I think Rachel Ray would be more spicier lol

I have to agree with those who are against the idea. I am not a Sam Brown fan. It's like putting oil in water. Tony might even lose some of his fans if he considers or agrees to have a show with her. I don't see it as a win-win situation for him. That is my opinion....

I loved the recent promos of Samantha bashing (sort of) Tony.... Yeah...I'd love to see a collab or 2...actually, even in a 3way with the other Anthony... 3 way trip to Fiji ???...lol...

I agree with anthonyws, it would be hilarious to see them together Heh,there like complete polar opposites. Anthony would probly kick her out from just five minutes of filming with her.

anyone who doesn't think this would work hasn't been paying attention... samantha is funny, intelligent and even gives tony a shout out from inside a giant martini glass in vegas, while she's surrounded by the pussycat dolls... tony can laugh at himself and so can samantha... it would be pure gold..

Totally agree with this post! Sam Brown would never get her feet on dirt in a jungle of Malaysia. Different host for different style of shows is much better. Don't mix them up. Andrew Zimmern and Tony might be a better combo.

Absolutley have Tony go on a trip with Samantha, maybe to some small island in the south china sea where cannibalism is still allowed so we can see Tony's reaction to how she tastes!

Brown and Bourdain appeal to widely different demographics. While Samantha might try to get a bit edgier, (for her) she still must be herself and not be something that she isn’t. Otherwise she’d lose a bit of her integrity. Yeah, it could be an oil and water type of show.
If such a project were to be attempted, it would have to be a stand alone show. Two different takes on the same destination perhaps? It might just underscore the fact that travel experience can only be described as always personal. I’ve been to many of the places that Tony and Sam have, and my stories and experiences are vastly different from theirs.

I know.. a chipmunky Samantha with no real foodie talent with an extreme foodie like Tony, who really enjoys the moment instead of giggling it away?
Are you trying to initiate some sort of reality show?
Sorry to all the Samantha Brown fans.. but no.. no good match there; you're off base.

Only if she spends the whole show on a bathing suit, she is one good looking woman.

I haven't watched all that much SB, but I will state that the two would go together like ice crean and sour kraut. The only reason to do a show like this would e so that the "At the table" episode could no longer be labeled "the worst show ever!"
If you would like to mix genres, how about tony bourdain and Jaime Hyneman (Mythbusters, my other favorite show)

I think it would be an incredibly better idea to put Tony and Samantha together than it was to put him and Andrew together. I look forward to this actually occurring at some point.

Elchurro has quite the idea. How 'bout a Sam Browm swimsuit edition show with Tony AND Zamir? That show would be in the weeds before it started.
Naahh, best to keep 'em separate.

I can't believe Smantha Brown has a show on the Travel Channel. She has to be the most annoying host in televison history! This is my first post by the way. I'm usualy not this negative

SB does a show that appeals to tourists, which make up 95% of actual vacationers. AB's show is set up more for the traveler, the people who want to not only see stuff but also delve more into the culture, get off the beaten path and are willing to try more exotic food.
Each of them meets the requirements of their audience, but I can't see them together; it'd be like oil and vinegar, different demographics. Remember, they are both professionals whose prime responsibility is to produce programs that get good ratings. I'd expect most people posting here to be AB style travelers, so I'm not surprised at some of the negative SB comments.

SB is to Canola Oil

AB is to Balsamic Vinegar

Samantha shows the territory with far less emphasis on food, which I like plenty. She goes to places I would go if I were there. I love Tony and Andrew, but I get tired of the food onslaught. Tony's best show was in D.C. I liked Samantha's show on cruises - taught me I don't like them. She saves me a lot of money and time.
