I see a lot of people bashing zimmern but i don't see why. i like both shows because they both go real places and talk to real people, if you want to know where to catch a buzz, or cure a hangover like the locals usually if there is a buzz to catch tony can tell you where to find it unless its a buzz the travel channel don't want to hear people cry about. and if you want to know things like what kind of strange food you may see any where from places you have never heard of all the way to right here in the U.S. then andrew is probably the way to go. and yes I have seen tony eat some strange even nasty things but andrew looks for it.

lol just giving zimmern a 'send up' as I don't why-- his fans keep coming here to bash 'our BIG T'. when we don't go certainly not I to bash their 'boy'.

I watch Andrew too..& never compare the 2 shows as both are so different.

AZ is cool, I like his show pretty well. I guess I prefer AB because he is more about the experience, and less about eating weird food for the shock factor. Both have inspired me to try what the locals eat, on my next trip. If the guy next to me is eating a pig ear, or brain, then I'll try it too.

AB's shows are geared towards accepting and respecting the world as it is.

AZ's shows emphasize on alieninating the world which is negative in the progress of human thinking. In which can lead to many many unnecessary divisions and stereotypes within and without USA.

People, it's called "personality" and a "hook". The TC looks for interesting personalities and a "hook" to catch viewer's attention. With AB the hook is food (primarily gourmet and street) and an irreverent personality. With AZ the hook is bizarre food and a very friendly personality. With AR the hook is food and an eating contest at the end with a more youthful personality. With DJ the hook is a new sport along with checking out the local culture. With Bridget the hook is flesh, giggles... and I guess more flesh.

Each show has its own "feel" so let's not compare one with another, but just enjoy the ones we like and not denigrate the ones we might not like as much. AZ isn't much better or worse than AB, though peeweeherman might like AZ more. Each show is unique in its own write.
