Best Italian

I have had some problems finding good Italian food in D.C. There are a lot of restaurants but most of the ones I have tried have not been up to my standards. I often travel to Italy and know what good Italian food is supposed to taste like. I would say that my favorite place to get good Italian food is at Cescos in Bethesda, just outside DC across the Maryland border. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a great bread plate, you do not even have to order an appetizer!

My favorite dish on the menu is the Duck Paparedella. This is a thick noodle pasta with little bits of duck in a brown sauce.

For desserts, head to the bar where a little old Italian lady (owner's mother possibly) will make the desserts right in front of you.

HAVING LIVED IN THIS AREA, I HAVE FOUND THE "BEST" ITALIAN RESTAURANTS ARE IN THE SMALL SURROUNDING TOWNS SUCH AS: ALEXANDRIA!
