This would be a great company for John to visit! They are located in Centerbrook CT. The company makes wooden rope tension drums by hand. The drums are made the same way as the ones used in the Revolutionary War and Civil War. Historical re-enactment bands all over the United States use drums made by the Cooperman Company. My 7 yr. old son has a Cooperman drum and is the one who made the suggestion for John to visit the company.
