Marco Beach Ocean Resort is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed at. And this is comeing from a person who has stayed at and seen many five star hotels.

Marco Ocean Beach is located on Marco Island, which is a small island located in Florida just off the coast of Naples, this island for the most part has been unspoiled by large crowds of tourists that have taken over alot of the rest of Florida. It has beutiful white sand beachs and a warm and sunny climate year around.

But getting back to the resort. Marco Ocean Beach has won the AAA Five-Diamond Award and is one of the Perferred Hotels and Resorts. It has 98 suites that are luxuriously decorated and have fantastic views of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. One of their most fabulous resturants is called Sale e Pepe, this restuarant overlooks the Gulf and serves gourmet Italian cuisine amist surroundings of marble and hand painted Italian frescoes. Of course there are more casual options of dining at the resort such as the Beachfront Bar & Grill which serves pizzas, salads,sandwiches and even steak and salmon. All of these can be ordered not only at the grill itsrlf but also can be ordered from the comfort of your own beach chair as you lay in the warm Florida sun.

This resort also includes a pool and spa which is quite simply too beutiflul for words. I suggest to anyone who wants to expierience true luxury to stay at this resort. I also think that it would make a great destination for the next episode of Great Hotels.

I have also stayed at the Hyatt and Marriot. The Hyatt is showing its age a bit, but the Marriot is very nice, and they are also building an additional TS next door. Amazing how the island has been built up over the past 10 years!
