Here's a neat place. This recently opened 50-room hotel narrowly escaped the wrecking ball to make room for a parking lot. It is located on the northeast corner of the University of Arkansas campus, where Bill and Hillary Clinton once taught law.

Constructed in 1906 as the first women's dormitory on the U of A - Fayetteville campus, it is named for one of the first female professors at the University, Ella Carnall, who died tragically at an early age of an unknown illness. Ella's Restaurant is run by NWA's celebrity chef, Miles James, and features a wide variety of Tuscan/Northern Italian cusine, plus wood-fired pizzas.

The renovation was directed by late architect, James Lambeth. The hotel is a tremendous alternative to the "cookie cutter" hotels dominating NW Arkansas' Wal-Mart-infused landscape.

This would make a really fascinating feature on Samantha's show.
