I would reccomend this hotel in the new season because it si number 1 in playa del carmen, the service there is great and the staff are very nice. it is mostly sunny there. and the best part is when you stay there they give you a wrist band and with that wristband you get unlimited food and drinks to all the restauraunts and bars. also, every night they put on like a broadway show in the beggining of it they chose random people from the audience and have a game show and then the real show starts and i loved every one of them also, iberostar has a lot of activities right on the beach such as parasailing, scubadiving, snorkeling, and jet ski. also the chichen itza ruins are only about an hour away from the resort. it is a lot of fun not only for me but for my kids too it is a great place.

I went there a few years ago. It really is a "paraiso lindo" (beautiful paradise). The 2 swim-up bars are great, not to mention the pool itself! The restaurants are great, too. The beach is wonderful, and there are tons of fish in the water! One day we took some bread from the beach-side restaurant/buffet and fed the fish right in the water! It was an incredible experience (if you like fish- and I do).
On our last day there, we got up at 6 am to claim one of the pool-side cabanas. We spent the whole day either in the pool or in the cabana reading books and magazines.
This resort is a wonderful place to stay while in Mexico. It is on a beautiful beach, and it is just a boat ride away from Cozumel.

Too bad there won't be a new season of GH. Although I suppose we can look forward to the eco-resorts!
