Hi I live in Connecticut and have just recently became a fan of Great Hotels. I live about 20 minutes away from The Mohegan Sun hotel and about a year or 2 ago it opened the Mohegan Sun Hotel. The Hotel is magnificent with all these different angles, it is made of glass and looks like a giant crystal shooting out of the casino. It is located in southeastern Connecticut in Uncasville right on the Thames River. I have never stayed there myself but what I have seen of it (lobby and the View) has taken my breath away. The lobby is hooked up to the outside and to the mall within the Casino. It has wonderful resturants (2 owned my Michal Jordan) like big Bubbas Barbeque and The summer Shack. It also has 3 Krispy Kreme Doughnut shops. There is also a mall i have been in many times. Thank you for taking your time to read this and I hope you will visit this Great Hotel. thank you, 14 year old Nutmeger

I just took my husband there for his birthday friday night. The hotel was nice, the room clean and comfortable but the sheets and towels were terrible. For the price you'd think you'd get soft sheets and towels.
We loved eating at Big Bubba's and The Longhouse.
Oh, and the spa is wonderful!

I frequent Ct casinos regularly and stay overnight. Please don't be so fast to comment unless you've done the whole scene. I have yet to talk with regulars who would choose to stay overnight at Mohegan Sun rather than Foxwoods. There is no comparison. The Grand Pequot Hotel is a 4 diamond hotel that lives up to its rating in every way. The other I hear has good gambling and shopping but not much else. I have always been treated with indifference or downright rudely at Mohegan Sun whereas at Foxwoods I feel like a VIP every time.
