one more:

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO
http://www.stanleyhotel.com/
it is the hotel that inspired the shining and is also said to be haunted.
Besides the natural beauty of the area, there is a restaurant called Hunters (hope it's still there) that has GREAT meet and an amazing flourless chocolate cake...

The Maui Prince Hotel in Makena, Maui! It's right down the street from the Fairmont Kea Lani. I stayed there on my honeymoon. I'm also interested in seeing the Wailea Marriot Resort, also on Maui...If it hasn't been shown already.

When in Nashville, the best hotel is the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Standard rooms are pretty basic, but the amenity options are incredible. Our kids loved the tropical atrium and the steel wind band at the pool.

A couple more: 1. The Hermitage in Nashville should be highlighted.

2. The Brown Palace in Denver.

3. The Banyan Resort in Key West.

4. The Westin Crown Center in Kansas City.

5. The Rio All Suite in Las Vegas.

6. Any of the Peabody Hotels. You've gotta see the twice daily Duck March of the Peabody Ducks. It is truly an event!

The Hyatt Regency just outside of Anaheim, in Garden Grove, California, was VERY nice. The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville is also great!

How about having Samantha 'come home' and give us an inside look into the historic Wentworth By the Sea Hotel in New Castle, NH?! It has been beautifully restored! We'd love it, and I'm sure many others would as well. Portsmouth is terrific, and the lakes and mountains are close by as well! What could be better?

1. Anything Disney, from the value resorts to the luxury.
2. More Hawaii hotels, also form the value to the luxury. My personal favorite is the Maui Prince Hotel in Makena just a little further down the street from Wailea. My husband and I stayed there on our honeymoon. It's a deluxe resort, but they have specials and packages all the time that can make it more affordable for the average person. And thankfully, it's not overcrowded like the hotels in Wailea or Kaanapali.

Stayed at the Casa Munras Garden Hotel in Monterey. I agree it's in a good spot, but not worth doing a show on. Unless you had a room with a fireplace...And that's pushing it.

There was a BuzzLKightyear that was about 50 feet right on the ouitside of the building. It was so funny.

I think the All Star Resorts is a great place for spring breakers and people that are on a tight budget. It cost me about $1,100 for my whole spring break and I was there for 4 nights! Of course I didn't spend $1,100 on the hotel alone. I speat probably only about $500 on the hotel and beleive me, that is not bad at all for a Disney hotel.

This place is pretty cheap, but the whole thing is just hilarious cuz it's all 50 feet+ life size( bigger than life size) figures! Great place to stay.

Try St. Louis! The Chase Park Plaza Hotel is awesome. Rated 4 diamonds by AAA and soon to be the only hotel in the city with a Mobil rating.
Located in the historic Central West End, across the street from Forest Park where the St. Louis Zoo, art museum, and historical museum are all located.

The Oberoi Mauritius
on the northwest coast of the island of Mauritius, approx 500km off the coast of Madagascar. Private villas with their own walled in courtyards and pools, great beach, large infinity pool, water sports, near capital city and a great botanical garden, golf on an out-island, superior dining in several venues on the grounds, amazing spa--excruciatingly romantic! find at www.oberoihotels.com and click on Mauritius. Thank you so much Great Hotels! I had been to four of the hotels you have reviewed before finding your show, and now I will be visitting my 10th hotel this upcomming week that you have reviewed. Two of those hotels I picked because of your reviews.

Orlando, FL:
Grande Lakes Orlando
Grande Lakes Orlando comprises two magnificent hotels - The Ritz-Carlton and the JW Marriott.

Just minutes from Disney and Universal theme parks, but you woudl never know your in Orlando with the 500 acres these two hotels occupy. The JW Marriott has 4 heated outdoor pools (one kids pool) connected by a lazy river, that has far surpassed any other hotels I have seen yet. Plus, the pool hours stay open late, so you can relax in one of teh hot tubs or lazy around teh river after a long day at teh parks. Several great restaurants on teh properties, and I hear the golf club has a great golf course. Many suites and room types are offered as well. Theres a large chess board on teh lawn, tennis courts, bike rentals, movie night for the kids next to teh pool, and marshmellow roasting and hamecks around teh fire pit behind the pool! I have stayed here over 5 times, and cant say enough about this hotel. Its up there with teh Princeville and the Halekulani! I think you would have plenty of material to cover on the JW Marriott hotel alone, but if you desire more or a double feature, the Ritz-Carlton is attached to the JW Marriott.

Caneel Bay on St. John, USVI is a fine place to go decompress. It is not the most pristeen place, which adds to the ambience. It is a wonderful location for 'rustic elegance', has wonderfully good food at all of its restaurants, seven beaches within walking distance of all the rooms, only 166 rooms on the property, which is surrounded by national park. St. John is only accessible by boat, and Caneel Bay has its own dock, where the staff meets every ferry from St. Thomas. No clocks, televisions or phones in the rooms, relaxing white beaches, clear bluegreen bays make this a fantastic place to go and relax. Shopping is not far at Mongoose Junction in Cruz Bay, plus, there is a ferry to take back to St. Thomas for the fantastic shopping experience there. There is also a sister resort, Little Dix Bay, on Tortola, BVI, which can be accessed using daily ferries from the resort. My favorite in the world.

How about hotels in Atlanta, Birmingham, Richmond, and Nashville? Those cities are within driving distance of a huge percentage of our population, and may be completely unknown to others...helping them discover interesting places. Blackberry Farms in east Tennessee is exquisite and worth a great Hotels show. The area around Lexington, Ky, is some of the most beautiful in the country. The horse farms and the Bourbon Trail make it fascinating as well. I am not aware of any great hotels in that area, though. Is anyone else?

how about the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, CA? it's a gorgeous boutique hotel just a walk away from the beach, designed by Christopher Lowell. it's been open a year and has gotten some great press already, including "Best Hotel" and "Best Romantic Getaway" awards from Los Angeles newspapers. the rooms feature luxury spa suites with cyclonic fireplaces and chromatherapy lighting, and the hotel has an awesome bar/lounge called Zinc that's really popular. you can check it out at http://www.shadehotel.com/

I agree that the Polynesian at WDW should be showcased, but top of the list should be BAR HARBOR, MAINE!

Sam, I'm from there and could give you excellent insights into what to see and do.

Stay at the LEDGELAWN INN - www.ledgelawninn.com
or, for historical romance, stay at THE BAR HARBOR INN - www.barharborinn.com This one has a lovely walking place called "the shore path" just off the deep water frontage and right ON the beach. It's lovely.

I think maybe you can try making an episode on the Hilton Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati, OH because it is considered a landmark hotel to the city and the hotel has grand staircases. I think the hotel was built during the 1920's or 30's. Smile

I would suggest going to The Minger Hotel in San Antonio, TX. This hotel is both new and old; literally there is a newer side of the hotel, with newer more up-to-date accomadations. Then there is the older side of the hotel, my personal favorite, and there are the more traditional hotel features. Once at the hotel you are only a few steps away form the San Antonio River Walk, and right across the street from The Alamo. It is a great place to visit near Chirstmas, because in the Macy's window, also within walking distance, are several scenes from The Nutcracker. It is a wonderful Hotel, with both new and old features. I recommend this hotel, not only to the show, but also to anyone who ever goes to San Antonio.
