just got back from new orleans. stayed at the W on chartres st. loved it. featherbed was great at the end of a day of eating, revelling, and debauchery. the shower would sandblast the bourbon street dirt off you. the courtyard and pool area was quiet and quaint. i would suggest asking for a room that doesn't face the street.
