It is one of the Historic Hotels of America. The Hawthorne Hotel is a haunted hotel, not only is it a haunted hotel but it is located in one of America's most haunted cities. I believe # 5 on one of the count downs. This hotel is located right in the center of the historic district of Salem. You may also know Salem as the place whrere the witch trials took place. There is so much this city has to offer. The hotel is located right across the street from the Salme commons an don the other side of that is The Salem Witch Museum. There are so many attractions in Salem. To name a few more there is The House of Seven Gables, some of Americas oldest cemetaries and The Peabody Essex Museum. The best time to go to Salem is Halloween. Although it is the most crowed it is the most lively. The people in Salem do it big for Halloween. There are extra activites such as children activities on the commons, Ghost Tours(they are offered all year long), and balls. As you can see Salem has so much to offer. There is so much history behind it. The Hawthorne Hotel is a luxurious and beautiful hotel. They're are not many bigger hotels there are mostly only bed and breakfastes. Salem, Massachusetts ia an intriguing place that would keep anyone like Samantha excited. I am only 13, but i have been there 2 times. I love Salem. The Halloween activites start early. One time i went there the first weekend of October and there were already activities. One big tip to hold onto is that if you are planning to go during Halloween, book way in advance. People sometimes book Halloween night for the next Halloween. The Hawthorne Hotel is a very popular hotel. It helps bring out Salem's charm. The way a historic sea town should be.
