Hi, tennisfan103!

I'm in the process of putting together such a list. I have the majority of the episodes listed according to their end title copyright year, but a few are still waiting to be listed as they are rebroadcast and I can check the end titles. For instance, the two New Orleans episodes that haven't been rebroadcast since the onslaught of Katrina. Now that New Orleans is on the road to recovery, perhaps we should encourage the Travel Channel to show the two New Orleans episodes of Great Hotels again. It shines in these episodes through Samantha's eyes! Razz

Hi, hotelsfan!

I've recorded most of the episodes now, too, but didn't get my new recorder until after they stopped rebroadcasting the New Orleans episodes. Since you have them all on tape already, would you do me a favor, and run through the end titles of these episodes, when you have the time and find out for me the copyright year listed at the very end of them (if the tape didn't cut off before the tail end where the year is listed):

1. The Ritz Carlton - New Orleans episode

2. Maison de Ville / La Pavillion episode

3. Lodge at Koele / Manele Bay episode

4. The Plaza - New York City episode

5. The Hotel / Hotel Biba episode

If you could, hotelsfan, it would make it simpler and quicker to complete my list, and then I could post it for tennisfan103 and everyone.

Also, by the way, did you note the original airdates of the first showings of each episode of Season 1 of Passport To Europe ? I wasn't noting them at the time, so missed that, but I am putting down now, of course, the first showing-original airdates of Season 2 of Passport. Please post those, too, if you did. Thanks! Razz

Sorry to say I won't be of much help with dates.

My source cut off the end of most of them so i don't have the credits for the majority of the episodes and they aren't in one place in order to check- i have dozens and dozens of movies and tv shows all mixed up on blank tapes gotten from an outside source and i'm currently in the middle of a time sensitive project so i am unable to search for them right at this time.

Sorry about that- maybe in the future.

CALLING OTHER FANS FOR HELP WHO MAY HAVE ALREADY RECORDED THE EPISODES I'VE LISTED ABOVE WITH GETTING THE END TITLE YEARS FOR MY PROJECT!

Thanks for your prompt reply, hotelsfan. Perhaps, Mother and Father O, the Captain, or others who have been recording episodes of Great Hotels can help us with this project. It's all a part of a project goal I have for this year of putting together comprehensive episode guides of Samantha's series for Sam, myself and other fans while we're waiting for a book and/or video/DVD series to appear.

I definitely wish you luck and i again apologize for not being able to help. for me just having a list by name of hotel and location of hotel. locations for passport and name of eps of girl meets hawaii is good enough for me- without having to know the seasons they appeared in. but i wish you luck and hope that it works out.

you wouldn't happen to have a list of great vacation homes eps? i only got a few of them and i'd love to know what i am missing. also rumor has it that sam did a mardi gras 1 hour special- do you know of it? only thing i know are the promos she did during mardi gras in between shows.

A LOT OF WORK, BUT A JOY TO DO FOR LADY SAMANTHA AND EVERYONE - AND WELL WORTH EVERY SECOND SPENT IN SUCH A PLEASURABLE PURSUIT! Razz

And, actually, it's part of a larger picture, a preparation I'm doing this year as I continue to practice and get ready for beginning a publishing and entertainment company in 2007 or 2008, which Samantha knows from letters I've written to her has been a dream of mine for several years. So doing this project goal for Samantha and everyone is helping me in getting ready to do my part of the process for a particular dream to come true in my life. As one who believes in the God of the Holy Bible, it follows that I'm trusting and exercising faith in Him to do His part, according to His Will and Plan for the rest of my life, with whatever other needs such a company will have.

I share all of this simply to let all of you know and better understand my heart and its motivations for some of the things I do for Sam and you, just as our dear Samantha is always open and honest and giving of herself, being "the real deal" in all of her work and in all of her relationships with family, friends, and fans.

If any of you can help me with collecting some of the information for my episode guides project, Sam included, of course, that would be GREAT!, and I would really appreciate it.

As far as Great Vacation Homes goes, hotelsfan, I'll post the list of episodes I have so far, you post yours, and we'll compare, and see how many of the 30 episodes said to have been filmed are missing. And, perhaps, while Lady Samantha's home, she could fill in the information on the episodes she remembers that we haven't listed. I was hoping davidwhoedits and others at PineRidge might get back with us about a complete list from their end, but so far no response from him or them.

Another thing, I wanted to ask you, hotelsfan: Did you say you were able to get all of the Girl Meets Hawaii episodes on tape? If so, are they now labeled for easy access, so that you might check on them for information I wasn't able to write down as I watched them? One episode in particular I have no information on, and that is the episode that is titled HAUNTED HAWAII. I don't believe in dead people becoming ghosts, but this episode about people who do and places supposedly haunted in Hawaii, is part of Samantha's body of work, and therefore of interest to her fans. The Travel Channel, as far as I am aware, set this episode aside and stopped repeating it when they scheduled all of the multiple airings of the rest of the Girl Meets Hawaii episodes on Sunday mornings in 2005. Why they haven't even scheduled it as a "special" during one of their "haunted weekend" presentations is a mystery, I'm sure, to all of us! It seems to have become "a long lost episode" of Samantha's series. Anyway, I'd be happy to hear, from Sam (who lived it), or anyone else among us who experienced it through her eyes when it was being aired, what kind of "haunted adventures" this episode took everyone on. How many fans had a chance to see it and what do you remember about it?

JUST SO YOU KNOW

I've posted my Great Vacation Homes list twice, but each post has been sent to the Jailhouse Committee because of some word or other in it. Hopefully, they will be released soon.

Anyway, thanks, garynyc, for posting your original airdates list, and, hotelsfan, posting all of your lists, too! Razz

PMs are currently turned off. I can look into turning this on if it is a feature that everyone wants.

It sounds like a nice feature, so long as there’s an option to exclude someone if they become a nuisance.
