I saw the Ritz Carlton-Battery Park, today. I like that one, simply because it helps me remember what happened on Sept. 11th. I want to remember, so I can make sure it never happens again!

Dramaqueen, terrorism is such a scary thing, the thought that people, innocent people could be attacked any time, any place, for no reason. Im not sure if you've been to a post 9/11 NYC, but you really need to get there. When I was last there in October, I stood at the WTC and it seemed if the world was still. I recalled the horrifing images on the today show of people jumping from buildings, covered in ash, and being carried out wounded. It was truly one of the most moving experiences I've ever experienced, the thought that people unknowingly gave their lives to defend the freedom of democracy and our country. I just think it would be comforting to them to know that their lives werent lost in vain and they will always be remebered in conjunction with the saddest day in modern american history. Its such an emotional, yet peaceful place, and its something that I, and probabily everyone (yes even capttuttle and keldvm ) would probabily agree that we all as americans need to reckgonize and pay tribute to. I remember it well. Funny thing is, I was watching the Today Show up until 8:30 that morning. I got tired so I shut the TV off. To be honest I'm glad I didn't see the first moments of that tragedy. My mom came home and told me, so of course I immediately turned on the TV, and was glued to it all day, & everyday for 3 days. I still get chills down my spine, when I see images of what happened.

The best hotel Ive been to would have to be the Gaylord Palms resort in Orlando, Fl. With it's 4.5 acre open-glass atrium themed after Florida's own natural beauty. Themed after great historical and liesure areas of the state like St. Augustine, Key West, Emerald Bay, and the Everglades. The Gaylord Palms also features 3 fantastic themed restaurants to suit every flavor and mood, and for evening entertainment offers dueling pianos until 1am. Differing from most hotels in Orlando the Gaylord Palms resort specializes in Convention accomidations and offers an amazing 400,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exposition space!!! By far one of my best experiences with a hotel would be the Gaylord Palms in Orlando!!! www.gaylordpalms.com

It is very hard to choose a #1 favorite best hotel I have ever been to but I can definetly say that my #1 favorite Hyatt Resort is the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando,FL. This 18-story resort is absolutly spectacular, the service is excellent, the rooms are great (Great views of Disney World), location is great (next to Walt Disney World) and LOTS of amenities which are the very best part! I recommend this Hyatt Resort to anyone! You can checkout more info on this Great resort by visiting http://grandcypress.hyatt.com

I got married at the Disney Wilderness Lodge, on a balcony, overlooking the lake in 1997. I've been dying to go back. Now that's a hotel worth repeating a stay at.

The Renaissance Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL, is an opulent resort and has been named to the National Register of Historic Places.
Also in St. Petersburg, FL, is a four-star bed & breakfast called the Sunset Bay Inn. Each room has a unique theme, the people are wonderful, the food is wonderful, etc., etc., etc. Wonderful! I know it's not a hotel, but it's probably one of the best places I've stayed in recent memory for many reasons.

Hi everyone! My favorite hotels that I have been to would have to be the Mount Washington hotel and resort in Bretton Woods NH. The Balsims in Nh is also a great place to spend a weekend or even a week. The Mount Washingtion has a Thanksgiving weekend every year! I go for weekend with my family. If you do stay there try to go in the fall. It is spectular! I still don't see why people flock to New England to see a bunch of dead leaves, but the are the most butiful colors. The Wentworth By the Sea is also a great hotel in New Castle NH. The city just fix up the old hotel and it is wounderful. I have never stayed there overnight but its five minutes from my hometown Portsmouth. If you ever plan to visit Portsmouth go to visit the Strawberry Bank Musame. I work there and you can take the family for a few hours. New Hampshire is a great place to go on a vacation with the family and also a awesome place to live!!! I give it two thumbs up!!!

This is my favorite, it is off the strip and just as huge as those on the strip. It's got a Brazilian theme and is over 40 stories tall. I tend to be attracked to hotels that have red or blue as their color scheme. Nothing against gold or white, which are colors I run away from.

favorites: mega-vacation/resort: Grand Wailea (Maui) - no one can touch their pools and spa; decent restaurants for a hotel (though we like to go to Nick's at the Kea Lani); Carol the bartender (you have to go there to understand business: Hyatt Regency, Burlingame, CA - what can I say? 5 min from SFO and you don't have to rent a car B&B: Rachel's Inn, Mendocino, CA - pay for the barn, it's worth it! to put a slightly different spin on this thread here's my most overrated: anything in Las Vegas (except maybe Bellagio or Venitian) anything at Disney World - I'm sorry but the Swan & Dolphin are by far the dumpiest >$200/night hotels I have ever stayed at (& I've stayed in quite a few). sorry if this offends anyone but that's my 2c

Last summer I went with my youth group to Universal for a few days. We stayed at the Hard Rock inside Universal and it was a blast! It is very affordable, yet you truly feel like you are staying somewhere that in reality you would never be able to afford! The pool is excellent with underwater music, the resteraunts inside the hotel are good too---especially The Palm. One of my favorite things was that your room key doubled as an Express Pass for all the rides in the park so you never have to wait in line more than a minute or two! I'm not sure if they do this in all of the stores there, but several places in the parks that we bought from gave us discounts with our room key too! When you stay at the Hard Rock, you truly feel like you are a rock star- from the funky styled rooms to the music in the hallways! I defenately recommend it to everyone!

The best hotel I have been to so far is the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. It costs 1.6 billion dollars! It is truly a one of a kind hotel. It features an 11 acre lake which has 1,000 fountains that perform a water ballet throughout the day. There is the 10 million dollar lobby glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly and a conservatory where you can get away from the casino.

Amore by the Sea Retreat and Spa in Victoria BC Canada is a very romantic seaside B&B. I like visiting Victoria but have found the hotels not to be very personal. Finding Amore is the icing on the cake for our visit to this fantastic city. The place is right on a secluded beach, has a spa over looking the ocean, private romantic rooms, everthing you could ask for. No hotel in Victoria can offer this location, privacy, or any of the special touches Amore has to offer. My first choice is a B&B rather than a hotel.
