I really enjoyed this episode; like the New Hampshire episode it provides insight into where Samantha is from and what she’s really like as a person. I think because of Samantha’s close personal connection with these episodes she was allowed a lot more input into the content, and it shows. I’m sure that those of you that have wanted to see more of Kevin on the show are pleased with this episode as well.
I liked this one too. A nice combination of segments. Leave it to Samantha to find a place in Brooklyn that actually sells whoopie pies and will deliver anywhere. I am impressed. Check it out at www.onegirlcookies.com
I think I will now fondly refer to this episode as "the Kevin" episode.
Sam highlighted some of the great attractions of Brooklyn. I'm glad she went to Coney Island seeing as now it's no longer going to be the same. And a Nathan's "hawt dawg" ranks right up there with a slice of Brooklyn style pizza. You just have to eat it while you're there!
Some of the shots taken, even in B-roll footage, were stunning. Postcard material! Even though I have visited several times, it amazes me you can have that kind of scenery when you walk out your front door every morning.
Another thing I find charming in NY is the family that strolled into the cookie store for dessert. Stores are so accessible in cities like Brooklyn or Manhattan, etc. Most of us live in more open wide spaces that require a vehicle of some kind to get you to your destination. Not as simple as walking a block or two.
Fun show, and extra points earned for Sam for referencing a Beastie Boys song! I loved it.
