There are many parts of Bangkok to explore and one of many tourist's and locals alike favorite is the old part of Bangkok, otherwise known as the 'old town' to foreigners. This part of town is situated not so far away from the downtown business district area of Bangkok, such as Silom road and Surawongse Road (20 minutes on a weekend), actually having to pass China Town to get there.

There's this particular guest house which is very unique and antique with the colonial style of decoration mixed with the Thai antiques, just gives you the aura of Bangkok back in the old days. This guesthouse is called "The Bhuthorn" which is also the name of that district/road.

The rooms are separated into three categories, each which you can choose from. All three of them have their own unique & traditonal styles so it's up to you.

Around the area is everything you need, with the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Reclining Buddha statue, the Golden Temple, the National Musuem, and many other spots that are a must for visiting is close by. This makes this guesthouse an ideal location to stay and it really is worth it.

The price ranges from 2,800 - 3,600 Baht depending on the room you want. The price may be slightly higher than of those in the area, but for what you get, especially the atmospehre and the authenticity of the interior decoration, it's a memorable experience.

The info on this hotel is from http://www.tourismthailand.org/thailandsuperdeal/ and just look for "The Bhuthorn" and you'll easily find it.

Goodluck and enjoy!
