Hi all,

Sorry I didn’t continue writing, I was planning to start my own blog channel but got lazy…
But I think it’s time I told ya’ll about my Thai cooking class experience when I first took it in Thailand. Since my wife and I bought an apartment together around 9 months ago, we never really cooked though I spent some money to make the kitchen look nice so that my wife would cook…but man…guess how that turned out…
So yeah, during my last trip, I had a some time to spend in Bangkok so I went to take some hours in thai cooking class. My wife was pretty surprised, but I was also to surprised at first to be honest because I thought it’d be a lot of effort but turned out to be pretty fun actually.

I went to 2 thai cooking schools during my visit. The first one I went to I actually incidentally passed it n’ it caught my eyes, it’s located on the Silom area, on the same road as the nice Indian Temple. The name of the school (which is actually a restaurant as well) is Bussaracum (hope I spelled that right, I never get it right). I thought I’d learn to cook some desserts at first, but I had no effort to do so, so I learned to cook Thai food. Since I wanted to gloat to others about my cooking, I only learned the famous dishes..lol

I learned how to make Tom Yum Goong (soup), Pad Thai (glass noodles stir friend with some prawns), and…..man,can’t remember the name, but its this green paste curry…yeah.
I actually can still make them right now, but I don’t have the recipes in front of me, so I’m just too exhausted today to get in the details. But yes, u should check out this restaurant, I’m sure it’s the first thing u find if u google it “BUssaracum”

The period of the class I took was only 2 days. And only a few hours a day. The prices here were not THAT cheap, but as far as I remember, pretty worth it (if you cook it on ur own of course..)

Another cooking class I took the day after was for desserts…YES..my fav.

I cant remember the name of this cooking course though, but I got it from the same website I got the hotel I went ot stay from, it was this thai wonders site. (gimme a sec, gotta browse through my favorites, which is seriously filling up…k  http://www.tourismthailand.org/7wonders/ it was in the ‘Thainess section”
I learned how to make ‘fired banana’ this was awesome. I thought it was some kind of Japanese dessert (tried fried ice cream b4 at a Japanese restaurant). But yeah, it’s a Thai dessert and it’s really easy to make actually. Peel the banana dip it in some egg then some wheat (not sure of the technical terms though..just the one that is wet already) then fry it for a bit n’ top it off with some honey….
Truly amazing ….serioulsy Wink
