Hello:

My husband saw Sam eat at a fish n chips place in London and wants to go there too. Does anyone know where exactly it was? I didn't get to see the episode, but he said that the cab driver recommended the place to her. I've tried to search all the forums and the internet, but there is no mention of the name of the restaurant. We are going to London in August 2008.

Thanks in advance for your help. Smile

I had DVR'd this episode (love DVR!) and it's called The Seashell (of Lisson Grove).

Dear bon888:

Thank you so much for the information! I know my hubby is going to be so excited to go there. It will definitely be a destination for us this summer. Thanks again.

Cheers,

Congratulations eahn on your upcoming London trip.
Mr. Sparkles and I have gone 3 times. Make sure you visit the British Museum! Most of the museums are free admission and the antiquities at the BM are not to be topped!

Bottle of Fine Wine - $75.00; Romantic Dinner for Two - $120.00; Meeting up on vacation with Samantha Brown - PRICELESS!

Glad to have helped. I hope you also get to see a show in the West End. I haven't been to London for some time but I remember their theatre was so good. Maybe you've already checked out Sam's travel guide for London but here it is anyway:
Sam in London

Have a great trip!

It was Long John Silver or Arthur's fish and chips.

Hello bon888 -- My husband and I are traveling to London soon, and he wanted to enjoy an adult beverage in the same pub where Samatha closed that show. Was this the same pub? so, did she order fish 'n' chips and was it the last location for that show? Please let us know... and we will plan to enjoy the beverage and a bit of pub grub. thanks!

Hi Patricia- The Seashell isn't a pub, it's basically a fish & chip shop (and this took place in the 1st half of the show). But right before Sam closed the show by the Tower Bridge, she had joined a local friend at a pub called the Windsor Castle where they drank Pimms which Sam said is kind of like English sangria. Here is their website, http://www.windsorcastlepub.co.uk/c/showpage.asp?id=190. I’m guessing this is the place you’re looking for. If you check out their food menu, they also serve fish & chips. That with a nice pint of ale and you’ll feel like a local! Hope you have a great trip. Cheers!
