I was wondering if anyone can give me the website of the place Samantha stayed in Paris. It was an apartment. She gave the website address in the program 9/19/07.

Well here is her Paris Journel and the hotel is also listed below though it's listed in the journel as a hotel and ot apartment.

quote:
Hotel Regina: When choosing accommodations in Paris, first lock down the area you want to stay in and choose your hotel from there. The Hotel Regina is in the first arrondissement, and it is a timeless classic - a blend of elegance, comfort and friendliness. It’s a luxury hotel, but not over the top, and the service is excellent, but not snooty. The hotel’s woodwork is in the art nouveau style, very fluid in a decorative way. Like all luxury hotels in Paris, it’s a bit pricey. But remember: a trip to Paris is about doing it up! There are less expensive rooms in Paris, but not in the first arrondissement.

The short-term apartment locator service mentioned in the Paris episode is:
http://www.timeandplace.com/
formerly called Time and Place Homes.

The average apartment price is about $1500/night with a 3 night minimum, and is moderately upscale in accomodations (it can go much higher in other words). If one googles Paris + apartment, many apartment locators can be found in Paris with far lesser prices. None likely will be inexpensive, and don't forget to stipulate you want a FURNISHED apartment.

Bon chance --

I didn't see this episode, but craigslist.com has a Paris section and you can find relatively cheap short term rentals there. You are usualy renting out another room in someone's apartment, but it's always worked out for me.
