Even the Today Show hosts asked him not to talk with his mouth full. A couple of other requests:

1) please do not LOAD your fork with a HUGE PILE of food that you will need to SHOVEL in your mouth.

2) if sharing with another person, please do not put your dirty fork back in the food.

3) please either share a big family sized portion with others or get smaller portions so as not to look so wasteful- surely you are not eating that all by yourself?

4) please do not talk with food in your mouth. You can edit out the chewing and swallowing if you are worried about the delay.

5) please stop smacking your food. Everyone blames it on the mike but the guests aren't making the same eating noises.

I don't know if you are doing this for additional "gross-out" effect, but I don't think so. I thought this was about celebrating diverse and bizarre foods.

I had hoped that I had misread the title...I was looking forward to finding out that Andrew was in fact eating HOBBITS....but alas, I find that we are here to criticize Andrew and his ability to auditorily enjoy his meal.....

I think time would be better spent if those who took offense would work on turning a deaf ear.... you guys sound like you have never heard of something being lip-smackin' good!

but its not that its just lip smacking good. its the fact that he SMACKS all the time and SMACKING in a resturant would irritate anyone. And the thing is, he is the only one around that is eating and smacking so loud. Maybe he has a breathing problem and he can't chew with his mouth completely closed. I wonder what the people he is eating with are thinking.

I haven't watched a show yet where I haven't wanted to vomit and not because of the food. He makes the most disgusting sounds when he eats it's just mind boggling. I would yell at my kids if they ate like he does. I used to think it was the microphone, but like someone said, no one else makes the disgusting noises he does. Can someone please edit out the sounds please please please. I can watch him eat cow brains, but I can't stand his noises. Also when he chews he does it with his mouth open and smacks and slirps and whatever else. I watched one show where he drank something and that sounded disgusting as well. Please someone at Travel Channel edit the noises out please, Bizzare Foods is a good show, but it's being ruined by Andrew Zimmerns disgusting eating habits.

I agree 100% , the show has an interesting premise , but AZ's amplified smacking and slurping and talking through a mouthful of food just make it impossible to watch.

Producers, you listenin' ?

I got news for ya. the people he is eating with apparently do not make the smacking sounds for one simple reason. They are not mic'ed up. If all I had to worry about was how someone else ate, I would be in a pretty sorry state. There is much more to worry about in the world than how the host of a show eats. MYOB! TV sets come with two useful items, a channel selector and an on/off switch. It takes a lot less energy to use one of them instead of wasting your energy spilling your bile here.
