Everything about your show is interesting except for a few things that are somewhat disturbing.... to me, but probably not to others. Firstly, let me say that you are very articulate, which is nice to hear. I see all kinds of opportunities to be funny and you just don't go there, which could add some humor to the show... although, not necessary. The unique foods you eat and taste, carry the show in such a way that it flows like one long enjoyable climax; plus, I really appreciate short commercial periods. Your show is absolutely the first one that made me want to watch anything on the Travel Channel and I watch a "lot" of television. Anyway, if at all possible, it would help me to enjoy the show just a "little" bit more if you would use proper etiquette and also... eat smaller bites! It kind of turns my stomach to see you shove such huge pieces of food into your mouth. And, you hardly chew your food in anticipation of sharing the experience and sometimes you open your mouth after the first bite, which is also, somewhat gross! Also, when using silverware, you hold your fork upside down. You're a great host and you deserve a personal stylist! Your awkward and sometimes dorky clothing are a bit distracting. I do love the way you describe the food you're eating and/or tasting and maybe in the future you could add some facial expressions with respect to how you like or dislike the food. Again, you're awesome host! And, I can't stop watching your show! And, if it looks good, "watch it!" Bizarre Foods.

Hi Andrew, I know you tried eating the awful smelling fruit Durian but just couldn't get it down you throat, but just try it my way, frozen
like ice cream.
Cut open the fruit and wrap all the goodness in plastic food wrap and freeze for at least 6 hour. Take out of freezer and let set for 30 min and enjoy. Big Grin

Hi Andrew. My name is Gavin and I am a big fan of your show, as well is my girlfriend Michelle. I wanted to get her a surprise, so I wanted to inquire with you as to if it would be possible to get an autographed picture of you made out to her. It would be really cool if you could sign it with your catch phrase, "If it looks good, eat it." My mailing address is as follows:

Gavin Shreve
333 S Tyler Rd, STE 204
Wichita, KS 67209

I appreciate your show and work and keep it coming. Thanks!

Hey Andrew!
Love your show, very well done - it certainly helped illustrate to my American boyfriend what i meant by a disparate food culture. Was watching a re-run of your Vietnam episode and wanted to let you know that although eating communal style (ie. with chopsticks in shared dishes) is acceptable, putting food that you've bitten off of back into the communal dish, is not. I observed that in your segment featuring a Vietnamese family; you probably already know that by now, but just in case... I'm only Singaporean, but I'm pretty sure in any Asian culture that's not customary behavior. not meant as a disparaging remark at all ( and i certainly hope it's not construed as such), but merely an observation.... hope you and your crew continue with your adventures! Can't wait to watch new episodes.

I know this a bit late but May 3rd was Polish Independence day. I love your show but i've been craving to see you go to Poland and try their cuisine. From the sea town of Gdansk, to my home town of Krakow to the capital of Warsaw. If one day you could go there whether you made a show about it or not. Its a place you don't want to miss. ^_^

Hi,
I love the show but have been repeatedly disappointed by the fact that you avoid eating dog while traveling in Asia. This is a common delicacy in China and Korea and I have been extremely curious about the flavor. Do you refuse to eat it out of political correctness?
Please eat dog soon or I will be forced to BBQ my own dog to discover the flavor for myself.

Cheers,
Mike

Love the show! Your shows really to bring the exciting promise of exotic food eating to travel. Sort of a one-two punch!! 2 requests, please....Try going out on a limb for us by wearing a propper fitted suit and tie when dining at a classy restaurant. The sportcoat "dressed up" with a pocket square doesn't quite do it. Surprise us by dressing for dinner!

The other request....PLEASE.....don't CHOMP your food and smack your mouth when you eat. It is a real nail biting experience to hear you gnash and chomp at your food. Your show is so enjoyable otherwise!

I'm sure your staff has plenty of bizarre food ideas, but there are some interesting foods you might want to try...

Some Korean kim chee use fermented fish or shrimp. I don't know if you've done a show in Korea yet, but I think you will find a remarkable and delicious variety with their "banchan" dishes.

Also there is something similar I heard about in Alaska. The natives have some type of fermented fish they bury in the ground similar to the Kim Chee style of 'pickling'. They do fish, beaver tail, seal, walrus, and whale. Just make sure that it is made in the traditional method.

Mongolia also has some interesting foods. They use a lot of various dairy items, like 'aaruul' not sure about spelling, and some kind of alcoholic drink called 'Airag' which is made from fermented horse's milk. I've never tried any of these, but I do drink 'Calpico' which is a milk based drink sold in Japan and Asia which my mom told me the huns used to drink.

I enjoy your show. One thing I value the most is that no matter what the conditions are in a particular country I have yet to see you make a rude comment or only show that country in its worst light. I am impressed with your positive take and have a request for you. Recently, one of your Travel Channel collegues, Anthony Bourdain, visited my husband's country during this season. He had a Russian give him a tour of Romania. In the end, everyone of my husband's co-workers watched this show looking for some insight to my husband's culture, and what they got was a drunk Russian showing the worst of this country, no culture, just liquor, and his negative attitude towards Romania, was disheartening to me and my husband. It seems that every American camera crew, including our own President Bush, has left the impression that this country is substandard. I have been to Romania, I stayed there for 6 weeks and had only the best experience. It is a beautiful country with beautiful souls living there, and I only wish that at least one of these traveling shows could visit Romania, and show the beauty and wonder and the culture that Romania has to offer. I know for fact that Romania does have some foods that would suit your show just fine. I had them at my husband's family's homes while we were there. The cusine is simple, with mostly one pot dishes, but tasty and good. Please consider traveling to Romania, and if you do, I suggest not only it's capital Bucuresti (Bucharest to the English speaking world)but also visit Brosov, Sigisoara (Dracula's hometown), and Cluj-Napoca (the old capital of Transylvania) my husband's hometown. Travel through the Carpathian mountains and step back into the time of knights and armour, dragons (yes they really found one there recently), and visit the legends of Vlad Dracul (Dracula) and get the real story behind him. If you can't find a good guide to show you the awesomeness that is Romania, my husband and I would gladly take you, with or without your cameras. It's time for a show to give the American viewers a real image of Romania instead of the Borat/Bourdain/Bush image that Americans have been subjected to. Please let that be your show. Sincerely, Kellie

Just wanted to let you know that I think you should do a show in Lithuania. My husband is from this country and the food there is awesome and they do things with a potato that you could never imagine. I went there with my 7 year old son and he ate the national dish, Zeplinai, and puked his guts out and all it was was beef and potatoes and he will eat anything! Please go as my husbands mother is a great cook and I am sure she would be happy to welcome you into her home for a home cooked meal of all the Lithuanian favorites (or not!).

Great show!

Thank, bye

I have two questions. Does your crew get in on the unusual foods? And Do you do a lot of research or testing the foods before you try them to make sure that you won't get sick?

Thanks, really enjoy the show. We often discuss it at work the next day. I have begun to try new things myself. I go to an Asian store in State College, PA and bring home many strange things to try.

I had a funny experience there. They have labels in English and Chinese below each item. I spoted a really strange one, it said "Broiled Crap". I did a double take and thought it might be correct but I soon realized that it as a misprint, should have been "Broiled Carp.". When I alerted the clerk she quickly went back to fix it.

Keep up the good work.

Hi, Andrew was in Ecuador and never talked about typical food in the largest city of the Country which is Guayaquil, we have a variety of delicious and bizarre food and he talked about Ecuador without mentioning the Coast region as it would never exist. We are one of the largest banana and shrimp exporters of the world.

Andrew, my wife and I love the show. My question is not food related at all. What kind of wristwatch do you wear? It looks somewhat similar to my Festina, but different enough I want one.

Thanks,

Ryan

Hey Andrew, I have a proposition for you... I watch both Bizarre Foods and No Reservations (with Bourdain) and seeing how much both of you eat, you should both collaborate and eat the biggest pizza which was shown on the "Places to Pig Out"; it was actually at a place called "Pointer's Pizza". Or you both should just go to all of those places and show them all up by eating the food challenges there. Thanks, Jef.

Andrew, I love your show, so does my wife. You have encouraged me to eat almost anything. I have gained about 10 Lbs ever since (lol). I was wondering if you have any plans for a "Bizarre Food in Brazil"? We would love to see that.

I like the idea of your show, but I am disappointed at the fact that you do not educate the public about the endangered animals that you are consuming. I understand that you are visiting a foreign country and want to explore all the different cultural aspects of it, but why not use your show to educate the public the reality of over-consumption of endangered species.

Andrew Z..your great on what you do. Love your show and i think it's good for americans to know that in these country we are so lucky that we have abundance of food and we take it for granted. The show is Bizzare food and just want to remind you folks that in other countries, it more about survival. this is everyday food for them. I was also disappointed that when you visited phillipines, you did not go to my island. PANAY/ILOILO city. YOU really missed a lot. Go on the month of January. 2nd to last sunday of the month. I also posted on Bourdain's board. You won't regret it. Keep it up. I love you show.
