the green algae pill... what was that??
I have a son living with autism, any kind of protein help would be great for his picky palette.

I will ask the Dr. first, promise. but what was that stuff called again????

This looked like an amazing option for the picky people to get the nutrients they need.

It's pretty awesome show!,..I love it..anyway, I'm glad you liked the "BALUT" in the Philippines. I had my first BALUT when I was 9. It makes' me feel sick every time I see my grandparents eat the embrayo. My grandparents force me to try eat the embrayo and I did, but in one condition that I will eat it blindfolded or in a dark room so that I can't see the embrayo while I'll eat it, and damn, it's tasty. It is so good that from then; it is my favorate delicasy. It is also good with beer. I don’t know if you have tried the "pig’s brain" yet that is wrapped with banana leaf and toss it into the fire for 20 minutes or so, and it’s good. I know you haven't tried every single bizarre food yet, and that I hope you will...good luck!!,.I got my remote, and I'm ready for your next episode..by the way, what episode that you had the most memorable experience ever, beside all of the bizarre foods?,.thank you.

I am a high school teacher in southern MN, and I love your show! So much so, that while teaching a class on world geography, I video taped a couple episodes and showed them to my students, who LOVED it, too! So...what I am wondering...is it at all possible to purchase the show on DVD? I can't find anything about that on the travel channel website. I really would like to include more into my class this fall.

Any info. you could provide would be most helpful and appreciated!

Thank you!

Actually, it's not a question but a request. Andrew, can you please say "muchas gracias" instead of "mucho gracias"?

Thank you.

Andrew- Did you know that Beluga whales in Cook Inlet in Alaska are proposed to be listed as endangered? Isn't Soldotna right on the Cook Inlet? No beluga whale fishing allowed in that area.

I enjoyed watching your show last night 9/3/07 about your travel to Alaska, as a persone whom has spent 35 plus years in Alaska I was very disapointed to hear you butcher the names of several places that you went to. one would have hoped dthat maybe you would haved ask show one who to say a name that you didn't know.

Let me try this again I would have thought that maybe you would have asked someone how to say a name if you didn't know.

Andrew, I am curious as to what (if any)medicines you take to ward off stomach problems as you eat so many "stall or street vendor" foods? I am always a bit paranoid during visits to other countries about these foods.
thank you for your time

Love the show and even watch the repeats. I remember seeing more that one of your shows about Durian fruit. Then I watched another show on Travel channel "Girl in Hawaii." She tried durian fruit and though she made a face, she said it was good and never mentioned the smell. She also said that you can't get durian fruit in the mainland USA. My question: is the durian grown in Hawaii different then the type you tried in Asia and NYC???

Hi Andrew,
This is kind of a weird question but... its seems like most parts of an animal are eaten. Why is it that the penis is never consumed? Is it just taboo? Thanks.

How many creatures have you consumed while still alive?!?! (Ya know, torturing animals is one of three earmarks for a serial killer--and being a white male doesn't exactly improve your odds.) So tell us all--how long have you had such a deep seeded hatred for animals?

Just wondering........

Hi, Andrew. I love your show! Do you happen to know when season 3 is going to air? Also, you should come over here to New Mexico. We have plenty of interesting foods, especially around Christmas time.

How about a show about bizarre foods in your own backyard? I'd love to see a show on Minnesota, it is the home to Spam and all-you-can eat Lutefisk after all.

Hi alexthegreat356,
The producers are in the middle of shooting Season 2. The last season was the second half of Season 1.
Look out for more details coming soon.

Hi ftlaudmike,
Andrew has answered this question a few times, so I'm going to answer for him ...
Andrew has the stomach of a steal drum. He has never gotten sick and never takes medication before hand. Amazing, isn't it!
Good luck!

One of the best shows I've seen. Hope you return to Trinidad and Tobago.
Your host from the last time did not introduce you to a lot of stuff, there is much more to eat.

To Andrew Zimmern,

First off, I would like to commend you on your ability to sample rather "exotic" foods in your show. It is something that few people can do.

However, at the same time, I am slightly offended by the way you describe and portray the exotic foods. For example, in your recent episode in Taiwan, I was shocked at the way you talked about some of the foods. Stinky tofu? "Repulsive?" Personally, stinky tofu is one of my favorite dishes. Though you may not be used to it, it would be best to consider the opinions of the billions of other people that actually enjoy it everyday.

I also found it very odd that you referenced quite a bit of Korean and Japanese cuisine during your trip to the Taipei 101. Don't you think that's a bit misleading, especially to some of the people that have a vague understanding of Asian cuisine? You also showed kimchi, a much loved Korean staple, as "fermented, rotten cabbage." Do you ever call wine, a very "fancy," drink, as spoiled grapes? Cheese as spoiled, putrid milk? Also, I was extremely offended and embarrassed for that random woman that you told to "close the lid" on the pigeon eggs, that there were "children around." I will have you know that as a I child, I ate those all the time, and I have many nephews and nieces who hanker after that all the time. Don't you think that was rather offensive to the many people who enjoy the tie dan? I know I was.

There are many other examples that I could reference, however, I feel I've made my point. Is it possible that you could please step away from your strongly ethnocentrically worded descriptions of the other country's foods and have an unbiased approach? I understand that you may not be used to such delicacies, but "repulsive," "putrid," and "spoiled," to name a few, are not adjectives that should be used to describe a cuisine that billions of people are proud of and that have thousands of years of history. Your patronizing "But it's very good," tacked on at the end, is also slightly offensive. Perhaps you should move away from "addictingly greasy" (Morocco) to things more PC. Thanks for your time.
