What does Andrew mean by the word "gamey"? I hear it frequently from those whose most adventurous foray is daringly tasting veal liver. In my experience any meats I'm familiar with have certain distinctive traits. Chicken tastes like chicken, beef like beef, venison like venison, etc. So what does "gamey" mean? I have yet to find pork, quail, grouse, duck, moose, Dahl sheep, mutton, deer, turkey or goose to have a distinctive "gamey" taste. Since I'm not from an eastern metropolitan area, I suppose my tastes are not considered acceptably sophisticated.
