You may watch the show if you want. However, shoving this in our face while watching other programs is ridiculous.
They know it is disgusting because they show everyone leaving him in one ad.
They even air it during meal times.
I am done with Travel Channel completely until these ads stop.

If you hate it then don't watch it! you can switch the channels or even turn the TV OFF! DUHH!!! easier said then done.... you come here and nagg and you will still keep it on and still complain about it. Then come back here and go out your way to register for a userid then waste more time posting something that will only take up space and your stupid time!

I second murphy here. The ads are difficult to avoid, when you are having meals, and suddenly this guy is eating all filthy stuff.

mr_z:
you are free to voluntarily watch the show. however the ads are shoved in your face even on other channels.
You seem to advise turning off the TV completely because you obviously love the show and therefore support the ads.
Look in the mirror next time before you call another's time stupid. Also, since you call out someone as stupid it's "easier said THAN done" and nag (not nagg).

Yes I will continue to watch the show and also voluntarily post another reply just to annoy you and I may say/type/speak how ever I feel like it. And of course I am laughing out loud as I type this...knowing that you will be back to waste 5 mintues of your precious time to read this AGAIN and most likely complain about this too =). BUT IF YOU DON'T like it DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! DON'T WATCH THE AD'S! The ADs are GREAT! I LOVE THE AD's and I hope they will continue making MORE elaborate commercials to SHOVE into all and every face/channels. Thank you come again....

Hear hear. I think the ads rock myself. Here we are in 2008 and we still have people who don't know what the remote control (or buttons on their T.V. set) is for.
If there is a commercial that I don't care for I either change the channel, mute it or get up and do something else while it is on. Pretty simple if you ask me.
Now, pass the fish heads this way please.

I, too, detest these ads, especially when Andrew eats a guinea pig. To those of us who grew up with and loved guinea pigs, it is truly disturbing. I have avoided the show, and I change the channel whenever ads come on tv for Bizarre Foods. That was bad enough, but now I turn the page in my favorite magazines and see a full page photo of burnt guinea pigs on sticks presented as food. You may as well have dead and burnt puppies on sticks. I have to tear these pages out before my children see them. It is truly disturbing and offensive to, I expect, a large proportion of your viewers. I don't think you want to force people to avoid watching the Travel Channel. Please reconsider these ads, both print and on tv.

I agree. I loved watching the travel channel and learning about new places and such. But, Why they heck do I have to watch this guy eat worms and roaches and all that stuff every gd commercial break. It's so discusting. I just can't handle it any more and I am going to be like the people in his office lunch room and leave. Sorry, Travel Channel you lost one viewer due to you shoving this discusting crap down our throats every 10 minutes. Good ridence. If I wanted to watch it, I would tune into the gd show. But, I don't so stop playing the gross commercials unless you want your loyal watchers to leave.

We are doing something about it. We are trying not to waste our times by complaining every time we see it to our families. We are taking action and trying to complain to the source of the gd grossness that is shoved at us constantly.

Way to go Murphy1!!!!! Evidently mr_z is just what his sign-in states...he is a junior!
He does not have 4 children sitting around the table eating dinner when all of a sudden on the screen there appears the most disgusting display I have ever seen. My daughter vomited right in the dining room trying to get away from the ad.
Anthony Bourdain has a show on this network and before the beginning of each segment there is a warning. I have never seen anything on his show that you need to be warned about. However, this Andrew person shows up at any given time on any given station "WITHOUT WARNING" and totally mortifies the entire family.
Simply turning off the Travel Channel will not stop this problem, perhaps the Travel Channel should show a warning before the ads for Andrew Zimmern!!
My husband keeps control of the clicker so that the moment one of the disgusting ads appear he can change the channel!
As for mr_z.......I too, as a small child liked gore and repulsiveness in any given form, but as I have grown into a mature adult I have realized how inconsiderate I was at that age.
My opinion of you is that you are completely insensitive to the feelings and discomfort of others.
You know what they say.....what goes around comes around.....when you have kids I hope there are ads like this to torment them.

It is funny how you made the comment about mr_z being a "junior" member. Ironically, your member status is also "junior"
