I always enjoy your show, but last night, I was rolling on the floor when you tried to choke down the asian thorny fruit. I cant remember what it is called but I have never laughed so hard. Thank you for going the extra mile ha ha

LOL That is funny everytime he tries to keep that down. It's called the Durian Fruit. Makes me wonder just how bad it is...

Yes, it's Durian and I encountered it on a street cart in Singapore - I couldn't get past the smell so I have no idea what it tastes like. But based on its appearance and its smell (as well as Zimmern's reaction), I'd say it's bad. Have a look:

Durian is fantastic...I can't believe that this guy who chokes down all sorts of nasty guts and rotten garbage just can't deal with durian...what a wuss. And I'm sorry, he can't always hide when he thinks that something is nasty...look up "micro-expressions" on Google.

You can get an idea of what durian tastes like by going to any Asian grocery store and either getting frozen or freeze dried durian...they also sometimes carry fresh ones in the U.S.,but they're inevitably the rejects from Thailand or Malaysia and all are a pale shadow of what a good ripe one is like. Yeah, they smell strong, but I can't get past a lot of really expensive French cheeses because of their odor.

Druian is great...go to an Asian grocery, and they have freeze dried or frozen durian. Sometimes they have fresh ones as well, but these are rejects from Thailand and Malaysia and all these options are only a pale shadow of what a good ripe example of the "kings of fruits" tastes like. I can't believe that this guy who chokes down all sorts of disgusting guts and rubbish is such a wuss about durian.
