Research your destination(s)!

I find that before traveling anywhere, it is important to know a little bit about what the city or country you are going to has to offer. What are the best restaurants to eat at, What are the best hotels to stay in etc. A good way to do this is to look at websites that have been there and done that, so they know what they are talking about. If the correct amount of research is done at the correct websites, one doesn't really have to seek information from forums where they have to WAIT for an answer to their question. Forums are fun for discussions, but if your looking for answers, try a good website. One that often helps me is bombasticlife.com, which basically has reviews and information about various destinations around the world.

So that's my most important travel tip - go do the research and plan your holiday!

One of the biggest expense on any vacation is Hotel booking. Priceline offers very good prices on hotels.

However, one big limitation that Priceline has imposed is that you can bid for a hotel just once a day for the same location, date, and star rating. So, if your initial bid is not accepted, you have to wait for 24 hours before you can bid again on the same itinerary. This sometimes becomes a big problem. There are a few ways to get around this limitation, so that you can bid again on Priceline on the same day, without waiting for 24 hours. Here are some tips to beat Priceline, and submit Priceline bids multiple times on the same day. Check out this article see these tips:
How to Bid Again in Priceline on same day

Halifax is my favourite travel destination due to historical point of view. For most of its
early history, Halifax's prosperity and growth depended on its.Halifax has become the largest city of the Atlantic region.

With its two large container terminals it is also the region's principal port.
Its five universities and the Neptune Theatre are some of the many examples of a vigorous educational tradition and rich cultural life.
Halifax still shows its historical roots.
The original city nestles on the side of an imposing hill, pressed tightly between
the two strategic sites that gave it birth -- the citadel above and thewaterfront below.

The historic waterfront has been partially restored and effectively recalls Halifax's great age of sail. The original parade ground, once used for drilling troops, is still the city's symbolic centre. Unlike the larger cities
of central and western Canada, Halifax still has fine wooden churches and houses of all sizes near the downtown core.
