The Original style Chicago pizza is not Stuffed Crust Pizza. Why do all of these travel and food shows insist on following the ad hype of some of these restaurants. The place that has REAL chicago pizza and the best pizza in the world is Salerno's. Trust me I have been all over the world and there is no better pizza than Salerno's. And yes I have been to NY, and the pizza there is great, but sorry try salerno's. (BTW I have no vested interest in their business, just a loyal customer.)

I don't know which place in Chicago is the oldest for Chicago Stuffed Pizza but I believe it is Nancy's Pizza. All the other could have made pizza before them, but I am pretty sure the original is Nancy's. Why do I think this... I lived in Chicago area for 17 years starting in the 60's and none of these places had what is now known as Chicago's Deep Dish.

I wonder who really has the facts on all this??

If this is the case, then I'd like to check it out because I am a pizza lover. Is Salerno's in close proximity to downtown Chicago, and what type of Chicago Transportation is the best to get there? I don't know much about Chicago Transportation, any tips for getting around Chicago.

Nah, not Salerno's. Years ago it used to be Uno or Due, might still be. But it sure isn't Salerno's. Aurelio's maybe.

People just need to realize that Chicago pizza and NY pizza are two entirely different things. They can both be good. I'll have to give Salerno's a try now
