Summerluvin08,

My husband and I went to MoBay Sandals for our honeymoon. We were suppose to go to Turks and Caicos but because of hurricane's Hannah and Ike we were told that our only option was to transfer to Jamaica. We went blindly. I wish we knew then what we know now. My luggage was lost by the airline, so we decided to stay at the resort that we were told was the "closest" to the airport (MoBay). When we were landing in Jamaica, we saw the Sandals resort. The resort is basicly ON the airport runway. Yes, that close! Planes are coming and going at all hours. They we so close that our room would shake and no matter where you were on the resort that was the case as well as you'd have to stop talking. They had this thing where they'd say "kiss your partner". This was their way to try to put a possitive spin on the fact that you couldn't talk for several mins. Also, men must wear long dress pants and dress shoes to every meal. And women must dress up and wear dress shoes (no sandals allowed at Sandals). We had to purchase these items in order to eat anywhere other than the beach hut costing us about $300. The rooms are average. It was a 10 min walk from our room to any food. The bugs are really bad. They will eat you alive. You must ALWAYS apply OFF (we found the one in the orange can worked the best). For the most part the staff was very friendly. I would recommend going on the excursions (as seen on Bridget's Sexiest Beaches). If you really want to stay in MoBay there are two other Sandals resorts in Mobay that are not on the airport (Sandals Inn and Royal Caribbean). They are both much smaller. We took the shuttle to Royal and spent some time there. It's a lot less crowded and is classier. The people there were an older more mature crowd. And the restaurants were nicer expecially the French restaurant. Also, you may want to check out the other Sandals/Beaches resort locations in Jamacia. If you'd like anymore info please feel free to email me. Good Luck with your trip!
